Saturday, August 10th, 2013: 'Sci-Fi Saturday' at the Auburn Avenue Theatre in Auburn, Washington. Doors open at 9AM. Two classic science fiction films will be shown to the general public. Admission is FREE. Refreshments also provided at no cost, served up by AB's CEO Gayla Prociv.
Adventure Books does this each year. This event is endorsed by the Northwest Science Fiction Society.
This free event is partially sponsored by the City of Auburn, and is part of the annual Auburn Days Festival. During Auburn Days, downtown is closed to auto traffic, vendors set up on the sidewalks, there is a live music stage and food vendors operate near the stage. More details can be found at the official Auburn Days website. Parking is free, and to an extent, the usual parking rules are relaxed a bit. However, you cannot park directly on Main street, due to the classic car show and the parade.
Questions about Sci Fi Saturday can be sent to Robert Blevins at AB.
